The Lorain County Metro Parks is at your service whether it comes to supporting your classroom curriculum or entertaining your membership. Instruction is tailored to the needs and level of your class or group. We invite you to utilize the free services and many facilities throughout Lorain County.

 

Distance Learning

We are now providing and receiving programs to and from remote locations worldwide in the Stanley G. Pijor Distance Learning Classroom! Visit historical museums, science centers, zoos, and aquariums LIVE from the French Creek Nature Center - and with no admission charge!

The Distance Learning programs we provide are FREE to Lorain County educational facilities and cost a mere $40 each for those outside the county. Educators can call

Stormwater runoff occurs when precipitation from rain or snowmelt flows over the ground. Impervious surfaces like driveways, sidewalks, and streets prevent stormwater from naturally soaking into the ground.

By practicing healthy household habits, homeowners can keep common pollutants like pesticides, pet waste, grass clippings, and automotive fluids off the ground and out of stormwater. Adopt these healthy household habits and help protect lakes, streams, rivers, wetlands, and coastal waters. Remember to share the habits with your neighbors!
