Welcome to Amherst HealthPlex! The 50,000-square-foot facility, located on Hollstein Reservation, offers members an array of recreational opportunities, including aquatics, fitness, and youth activities. The facility is open to members and non-members and offers myriad programs geared toward fitness and health for all ages. Amherst HealthPlex is a Silver Sneakers and Renew Active facility.

FITNESS FACILITIES

Fitness Room

A large fitness room is located on the second floor of the facility and features treadmills, nautilus equipment, stationary and spin bikes, free weights, and more. The room also features a 1/20th-mile rubberized walking track. To use the fitness room, visitors must be at least 16 years of age or older.

Aerobics Rooms

Amherst HealthPlex has two aerobics rooms for various fitness classes located on the first floor. Offered classes include: Barre, kickboxing, spinning, strength & tone, Yin Yoga, Pilates, boot camp, yoga, and much more.

Spinning Room

The spinning room features approximately 20 spin bikes and is home to recurring spin classes.

INDOOR AQUATIC FACILITIES

Indoor Pool

Amherst HealthPlex offers an eight-lane swimming pool that is a great spot to swim laps and is home to water aerobics classes. The pool features a two-story water slide (must be over 48” tall to use the slide). The pool also features a long walk-in ramp, making the pool very accessible.

Therapy Pool and Hot Tub

The Therapy Pool has varied hours, Monday-Friday, for Water Aerobics and personal training. See pool schedule. The small hot tub shares the room with the Therapy Pool and follows the same hours and guidelines.

Locker Rooms

Locker rooms and family changing rooms are available. Premiere locker rooms featuring personal lockers and small saunas are also available for an additional fee.

OUTDOOR FACILITIES

Splash Pad

The splash pad is a zero-depth water area with 9 different water features including fountains, tumble buckets, and water cannons. The splash pad follows the same hours and cost of admission as the Inclusive Playground.

Inclusive Playground

The Inclusive Playground at Hollstein Reservation is located just outside of Amherst HealthPlex and offers a place for children of all abilities to play together. It features swings, wheelchair swings, a slide, sandpit, musical instruments, a small pond, and more! The playground is open Memorial Day through Labor Day, Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m.-7:45 p.m., Friday-Saturday from 10 a.m.-4:45 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m.-4:45 p.m. Admission is $2 per person and includes access to the Splash Pad.

Walking Trail

Hollstein Reservation features a short 0.6-mile paved walking trail that travels through the woods and ends with a nice view of the Beaver Creek. The trailhead for this walking trail is adjacent to the parking lot of the Amherst HealthPlex and is part of the Beaver Creek Trail which connects Hollstein Reservation and Amherst Beaver Creek Reservation.
