The goal of this project is to restore the grandeur and beauty of Lakeview Park’s Rose Garden as historically correct as possible while recognizing and understanding the balance between history and today’s accessibility and public needs issues. Donations of less than $100.00 are recognized on the online donation system and the plaque at Lakeview Park. Gifts are tax deductible and should be made and sent to: Lorain County Metro Parks
Please include your name, address, phone, email information as well as the name of the individual(s) that you are remembering or honoring. A brief (2-3 sentences) description and photo of the honored individual(s) can be submitted to the place on the online donations program for public viewing. Recycling Now
at The Lorain County Metro Parks has teamed up with Abitibi Consolidated to offer you the opportunity to recycle! How? Just bring your newspapers, magazines, shopping catalogues, office paper and junk mail to the designated park sites and place them in the bright green and yellow containers and you're done! Better than that? Abitibi will pay the Metro Parks to haul this away! Call (440) 458-5121 for more information. The bins are available during open park hours in the following reservations: Carlisle Visitor Center French Creek Nature Center Sandy Ridge Reservation Vermilion River Reservation Black River Reservation Splash Zone Items not accepted include phone books, cardboard, glass, plastics and metals.
