Just behind the conservatory, outdoor garden, and Butterfly House are the park’s beautiful wooded hiking trails. The Avon Wetlands section of Miller Nature Preserve (parking lots on Riegelsberger Rd. and Schwartz Rd.) offers over 1 mile of crushed stone trails that meander through open wetlands. Upper French Creek Wetlands (located about 2 miles south of the conservatory on Jaycox Rd.) is home to approximately 1 mile of total trails, which follow former cart paths of the converted golf course.
