French Creek Theatre is Lorain County Metro Parks’ semi-professional, year-round theatre mounting new and classic works, as well as arts-based educational programming, to inspire, enliven and entertain. Located within the French Creek Nature Center in Sheffield Village, French Creek Theatre produces an eclectic and thoughtful season in the unique, 150-seat, wraparound Ewing Theatre. Priding itself on showcasing local talent for Northeast Ohio audiences, French Creek Theatre believes in uniting artist and audience through the mutual struggles, aims and hopes shared via the theatrical experience.

THE YELLOW WALLPAPER
When Eleanor discovers a hidden diary, a long-buried family secret comes to light—and she soon realizes that danger may be closer than she ever imagined. In this gripping one-act adaptation, an ensemble of trapped spirits opens a doorway between generations, transforming Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s classic 1892 psychological horror story The Yellow Wallpaper into a Hitchcockian thriller. Kathryn Funkhouser’s stage version delves into the haunting consequences of confinement and obsession, capturing the eerie descent into madness that has captivated readers for over a century.
